Many times problem behaviors are looked at as issues that need to be controlled, changed or change with medication alone. These behaviors exist because they serve a purpose but are often seen as irrelevant. If these problem behaviors didn't serve a purpose for the animal, they wouldn't exist. Problem behaviors are communication. Try observing and understanding that communication from the animal. When we find the concern, we can incorporate lasting change through a functional and effective behavior change plan.
